In addition to writing, web design, and print production, another creative outlet for me is photography. I'm a novice at photography so I have a lot to learn. I find that nature is easiest to capture, but I want to strengthen my ability to capture people and motion.
In an effort to improve my skills, I have been practicing on a wonderful group of creative people in a local theatre group called TesserAct Theatre Ensemble. I designed their website, and my daughter has been in a few of their productions. I love this group, and I love photographing them doing their craft. I'm still getting the hang of lighting, position and focus, but I expect to continue to improve.
Below are a few images I've taken at a few of their events, there'd be more, but live theatre hasn't been a thing since the pandemic.
